About the founder

Matt Epstein

Matt has been building software professionally since 2001, on both sides of the table: 13 years as a consultant delivering for clients, then more than a decade at a Fortune 100 technology company, where he has been a Principal Software Engineering Manager since 2018.

As a consultant he led development and managed the account for his firm's largest client, working across the whole stack, from low-level C++ to full-stack web, often on-site with customers. Since then much of his work has been in AI and new products: leading a team building AI-powered features, helping originate an AI experience later built into an entire productivity suite, and taking a new product from incubation to launch. Today he builds AI skills and agents for Claude and GitHub Copilot.

He is a Cornell University alumnus and a named inventor on a U.S. patent. He also trains other managers, and several of his strongest hires started as his interns.
